About Us
As Salamu Alaykum, my name is Arefa.
I’m a 21-year-old Muslim woman from the UK born and bread, and my journey into coaching began in the most unexpected way. In 2019, at just 15, I was diagnosed with epilepsy after experiencing my first seizure mid-air on a flight back to the UK. Overnight, everything I had planned including my dream of pursuing a medical career disappeared.
For years, I felt lost, uncertain and unsure of what my new path could be… until I rebuilt myself. I began learning, researching, and discovering new skills online. What started as simple freelancing slowly grew into my expertise in social media, digital marketing, lead generation, CRM systems and AI automation and eventually, the creation of my own agency.
Along this journey, I found something deeper: a passion for helping and teaching other women find clarity, confidence, and direction in their own careers. Today, through RiseU Academy, I’ve combined everything I’ve learned into two powerful coaching programs designed for women of all backgrounds especially beginners, Ethnic Moinority women, and anyone who feels overlooked or unsure where to start.
